I found an interesting article that provides a mathematical model that explains why a golf with a hitter swing, like Craig Stadler, can still create distance compared to the swinger, like Ernie Els. The article is called “A technique for additional clubhead speed“. It is not a light read it does explain why a shorter length swing can generate the same clubhead spped as a normal length swing.
