Are Divots Hurting Your Golf Game

Many course where I lived open the course for the season on full green in mid-April only to have it snow for a week straight. So far this season we have only been able to read about golf than actually play or practice. The local newspaper has a weekly golf section and last week it dedicated a large portion of the article on fitness, nutrition and injury prevention. One article on injury prevention was written by a doctor and had a statement that caught my eye.

2008 Masters Poll Results and How They Finished

Congratulations to Trevor Immelman for winning the 2008 Masters and his first major tournament win. With only one real hiccup in the final round, the double bogey on 16, Trevor played very steady considering the pressure and the windy conditions on Sunday. I thought the approach shot into 18 was one of his best all day since the ball was lying in the back of a divot.

Golf Swing: Back to Basics

Been a while since my last post. First battled the flu bug and went on holidays during the Easter break. Played my first two rounds of the year while on vacation. My expectations for score were quite low I simply did not expect to score well. I have not swung a club probably since September maybe October. I knew my ball striking, timing, feel, short game, and long game (ok basically every aspect) would not be anywhere near my potential.
