2008 PGA Championship Recap of Sorts….
Can’t say that I watched the [tag]PGA Championships[/tag] this year. Not that I did not want to but I was in the hospital having surgery. So I did not have a TV near me and even if I did I would not have been coherent enough to understand what was happening. At one point I remembered it was on but it was Saturday afternoon and they were showing the 2000 PGA Championship because there was a weather delay.
First of all congrats to Padraig again. First player to win back to back majors since Tiger in 2006. Okay the feat is more difficult than it sounds because if I recall correctly he is the first European in a long while to win back to back majors and the first to win the PGA Championship in over 70 years. Funny only 2 readers voted for Padraig in the Poll “Who is your favorite to win The PGA Championship“.
From the highlights I was able to see the finish on the back nine looked exciting. It seemed to me the biggest difference between Padraig and Sergio was their putting. Padraig was able to sink putts on 17 and 18 and Sergio could not. The putt that Sergio missed on the 17th looked eerily similar to the putt he missed at Carnoustie on the 72nd hole of the 2007 Open Championship.
Hats off to the [tag]Oakland Hills Country Club[/tag] for keeping the filed humble. For a golf course that is over 90 years old it is still a formidable challenge to professional golfers. The toughest part of the golf course has been and will always be its greens. Miss getting the ball on the proper tier and two putting becomes difficult.
What are your views on the [tag]2008 PGA Championship[/tag]?

Ah man, sorry your were in the hospital. I watched it all day Thursday and Friday, but missed the weekend. I really thought Sergio was going to win, but I guess it wasn’t his time. Yet!!!
The difference between Sergio and the winner is always his putting. It’s always the weakest pert of his game.
Sorry to hear about the hospital visit. Hope that all went well.. :/
All went well at the hospital. Thanks for the support. Just waiting now for the core to heal a bit more before trying to hit a golf ball.
