Wishing the Best for Amy and Phil Michelson
Earlier today Phil Michelson announced through his management company that his wife Amy has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Phil said he will suspend his playing schedule indefinitely. Phil Michelson has two wins to his credit so far this year at the Northern Trust Open and the CA Championships at Doral. Having been through a breast cancer scare with my wife I wish the best for Amy and Phil.

Dear Phil and Amy
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both at this difficult time, we wish you all the best

This is really sad news. It seems to be happening a lot to sports people, too, which on a positive note helps to get the message out about how widespread this disease is. I hope some good comes out of the news being spread far and wide. All the best guys!
Phil & Amy - my prayers are with you both during this difficult time (I can relate, as I myself was diagnosed with breast cancer and had my surgery in late October)but you are both fighters and all will be fine - it’s all in the attitude….stay positive and you too will be a Breast Cancer Survivor……Take care and hug those precious little ones ……

It’s tragic when someone is diagnosed with any form of cancer. I am confident she will get the best treatment and wont quit fighting. God bless.
There are great treatments out there - god bless.
Konkurrence,
This is very recent. The original post was published the day Phil made the news public. However it seems treatment has gone well as Phil’s first tournament back was the St Jude the week before the US Open.
Amy and Phil both nice players. Our Lord will always be with u..
Phil looked good this past weekend despite not winning the U.S. Open. His greatness is even more admired after watching him stay mentally controlled with all he has on his mind.
This is really sad news. Its very bad suffering with cancer. I hope that you get well soon.
My prayers are with you and your family.
I wish Amy all the best. God Bless.
My message to AMY, please be happy and feel yourself that you are already healed and watch a lot of funny movies. Believe my words you will be surely cured.

He may need Golf to keep his mind clear and his emotions in check however.
wishing them the best too! my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer about four or five years ago, it was such a tough time for her family, for us too… thank god she’s doing perfectly fine now… it’s great that phil decided to suspend his playing schedule as his wife will need all the love and support from him and their family… hope everything turns out well for amy..
Phil is a good man and has a great family. The best wishes for them.
dont worry everything will be alright !we should feel the god with us!
This is a truly wicked disease. My mother has died two years ago. She is too late discovered the disease.
Glad to see he is back on the course again. It would be nice to see him take a few wins away from Tiger. Us lefties have to stick together.
That’s really sad news I hope she recovers safely. There are lot of interesting developments for cancer nowadays from diets to new drugs I hope Amy finds something that helps her.
That’s truly a bad news. I know how it feels. Just be strong and always ask for His help.
Gee, in life we certainly face some difficult dedcisions, I am glad to see Phil knows what is important in life. As a sport psychology consultant I am often advising on keeping balance to avoid burn-out and ensuring that you know what your priorities are. I hope Phil also uses his knowledge of imagery to help his wife to see herself in good health without the cancer - our mind is a powerful tool and we need to use it consciously. Go well Phil and Amy
P.S. Can’t believe I only heard about this through your blog!
Our prayers are with Phil and Amy. We have had friends and family members go through this and they will need all the support they can get.

I’ve come here after a long time. I am really sorry to hear about Amy, I hope she is very well right now.
Hello obviously the whole golf world wishes the best for Phil and his children. I like to say Phils attitude that his family is more important as golf is correct
I’m really sorry to hear about this. My regards, John.
We continue to prayer for you, Amy and your mother for a speedy and complete recover, Phil, I would like you to know that my husband and I have followed your career since you were in college. It is indeed to watch your grace, courage, and professionalism. We live in CT. and have watched you at the TPC in Cromwell several times and just recently the Open in New York as well as the TD Bank in Mass. You are a tremendous role model for children and my grandson who is 15 and his friends are constantly being reminded by me to follow your attitude, not only in the game of golf, but in life. As a retired Special Ed teacher, I am so pleased how you are giving back with your foundation.
I was estatic when you won over your next opponent by three strokes on Sunday…it brought me to tears as I can only imagine the stress you have been under recently, and yet you always keep your composure. Don’t ever lose the focus of family first…I will never forget the scene on the Open you played with Payne Stewart when Amy was expecting your first child. Keep up the good work Phil and will be looking forward to next season when I have the confidence you will be very successful…God bless you and your family…Treaty Fuller
